The slower 8-8-8-20 timings (compared to 7-7-7-20) have a slight effect here with the read speed being much slower than the Asus P5K3 Premium with on-board memory, but fairly comparable to the P5K3 Deluxe. When it comes to memory latency though, the P35 Diamond is much faster than the Asus P5K3 Deluxe. The MSI also performs slightly better than the compared boards when it comes to memory writes.

The average read speed in the SiSoft Sandra Unbuffered Memory Read test is also appreciably lower than the other boards tested here, but the latency is again faster than the P5K3 Deluxe by several nanoseconds.
